I keep seeing all of these pages with banners,and i think they're awesome. Will someone please post a comment as to how you get them?

Simple:
Click the 'My account' button in the top-right corner of your screen, and then click the 'user page header' button in your account options.
Alternatively, just copy/paste this into your browser address bar:

After that, find the picture you want to have as a banner, and make sure it's within the dimensions specified by the banner upload page (I.e. 770 pixels wide; 40-100 pixels high; no more than 75kb in size; must be either a .jpg or .gif file).
Type the filename into the upload box (or use the 'browse' option to find the name fot you) and hit the 'upload file' button. Your picture should now appear as a banner at the top of your userpage (if it doesn't, press Ctrl+F5 to reload the page).
Note: once you've uploaded a banner, you can change it to a different picture if you get bored of it, but you can't remove a banner, so choose your banner wisely.
